  • Connor Fiddler
Connor Fiddler “Nearly half of the Indo-Pacific appropriations directly reinforce the submarine industrial base. While this investment will enhance deterrence in the Indo-Pacific, the immediate impact will be supporting the American economy.” 17 hours ago
  • Chen Jining
Chen Jining “Whether China and the U.S. choose cooperation or confrontation, it affects the well-being of both peoples, of both nations, and also the future of humanity.” 20 hours ago
  • Xi Jinping
Xi Jinping “I proposed mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation to be the three overarching principles. They are both lessons learned from the past and a guide for the future.” 20 hours ago
  • Xie Tao
Xie Tao “China knows that it likely has little room to sway the United States on trade. The Chinese government seems to be putting its focus on people-to-people exchanges. The Chinese government is really investing a lot of energy in shaping the future generation of Americans' view of China.” 20 hours ago
  • Yi Wang
Yi Wang “The United States has adopted an endless stream of measures to suppress China's economy, trade, science and technology. This is not fair competition but containment, and is not removing risks but creating risks.” 20 hours ago
  • Antony Blinken
Antony Blinken “China alone is producing more than 100 percent of global demand for products like solar panels and electric vehicles, and was responsible for one-third of global production but only one-tenth of global demand. This is a movie that we've seen before, and we know how it ends. With American businesses shuttered and American jobs lost.” 20 hours ago
  • Antony Blinken
Antony Blinken “Russia would struggle to sustain its assault on Ukraine without China's support. I made clear that if China does not address this problem, we will.” 20 hours ago
  • Bernie Sanders
Bernie Sanders “No, Mr Netanyahu. It is not anti-Semitic or pro-Hamas to point out that in a little over six months your extremist government has killed 34,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 77,000 - 70 percent of whom are women and children.” 20 hours ago

“The Ukrainians are not running out of courage, they are running out of ammunition. NATO allies are not providing Ukraine with enough ammunition and that has consequences on the battlefield every day. It is one of the reasons why the Russians have been able to make some advance on the battlefield over the last weeks and months. It is an urgent need for allies to make the decisions necessary to step and provide more ammunition to Ukraine. That's my message to all capitals. We have the capacity, the economies, to be able to provide Ukraine what they need. This is a question of political will. To take the decisions and to prioritise support for Ukraine.”

“At this critical juncture, I believe a new election is the only way to allow for a healthy and open decision-making process about the future of Israel, at a time when so many Israelis have lost their confidence in the vision and direction of their government. Netanyahu surrounded himself with far-right ministers and has been too willing to tolerate the civilian toll in Gaza, which is pushing support for Israel worldwide to historic lows. Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah.”

“It's a very long road, but the immediate problem is the formation of the new government, the selection of a prime minister by the new government. Then the next consideration will be addressing the gang violence. Can you have negotiations with the gangs? If you can't have the negotiations with the gangs, will the Kenyans arrive on time and will they have the capacity to deal with them?”

“We are not sure how much this dynamic will last. But they [the gangs] formed a joint alliance in September 2023, basically trying to respond to the possibility that a multinational security mission was going to be deployed to Haiti, and they wanted to prevent that. These are groups that increasingly think that the only way to retain not only their relevance but their existence is if they are able to at least manage some important degree of political power.”
