  • Mahmoud Abbas
Mahmoud Abbas “We stand ready to work with you [Donald Trump] to achieve peace during you tenure. This would be guided by the two-state solution on international legitimacy. This vision seeks the establishment of the State of Palestine and the State of Israel living side by side in peace and security.” 26 minutes ago
  • Craig Kennedy
Craig Kennedy “Moscow now faces a dilemma: the longer it puts off a ceasefire, the greater the risk that credit events - such as corporate and bank bailouts - uncontrollably arise and weaken Moscow's negotiating leverage.” 37 minutes ago
  • Recep Tayyip Erdogan
Recep Tayyip Erdogan “As regards the issue of natural gas, Slovakia was disconnected from gas with termination of transit via Ukraine. We discussed this matter, we have the TurkStream gas pipeline. Let's make a step and discuss this topic at the level of energy ministers. The demand of Slovakia for natural gas should be satisfied. I suggested solving this issue through talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Mr. Putin. I hope we will be able to have communications, to start telephone diplomacy as early as this week.” 56 minutes ago
  • Emmanuel Macron
Emmanuel Macron “The challenge after the fighting ends will be to provide Ukraine with guarantees against any return to war on its territory and guarantees for our own security.” 1 hour ago
  • Yara Hawari
Yara Hawari “While the Gaza ceasefire is a positive step the danger to the occupied West Bank from an Israeli invasion continues to rise. It's brought about a huge amount of relief that the bombardment will stop, but I think crucially the ceasefire does not mean an end to the occupation neither in Gaza or the West Bank. So people are under no illusion that this means an end to Israeli control over their lives. I think people are pessimistic as to whether the ceasefire will actually hold because they know the Israeli regime is already trying to sabotage it. The situation in the occupied West Bank remains as precarious as ever. We saw a year of genocide in Gaza go unchecked so the big question is could they do the same in the West Bank? I'm afraid without accountability measures the answer is yes.” 5 hours ago
  • Joe Biden
Joe Biden “These are exceptional circumstances, and I cannot in good conscience do nothing. Baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety and financial security of targeted individuals and their families. The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense. Our nation owes these public servants a debt of gratitude for their tireless commitment to our country.” 5 hours ago
  • Ali Jarbawi
Ali Jarbawi “Hamas's parades through Gaza on Sunday are more than a message to the international community that it is in control. They also reflect the reality on the ground. Hamas was there before the war and they're there now.” 15 hours ago
  • Ibrahim Madhoun
Ibrahim Madhoun “The message is that Hamas is 'the day after' for the war. They're conveying that Hamas must be a part of any future arrangements, or at least, be coordinated with.” 15 hours ago

“Elon Musk's friendliness with the far right endangers democracy in Europe. He supports the far right everywhere in Europe - in the U.K., in Germany, in many, many other countries - and that is something that is completely unacceptable. It endangers the democratic development of Europe, it endangers our community and it must be criticized. His siding with the far right, whether for business interests or for reasons to do with his own political stance, is unacceptable.”

“Europe without the Ukrainian army will not cope with the Russian army, because it is larger in terms of numbers. Russia has more weapons, more people and is [crueller] than the Europeans. Without the Ukrainian army, Europe unfortunately has no chance against Russia today. Putin knows this and talks about it in his circle. Therefore, if Ukraine does not defend itself, he will quickly move on. This is a fact. I am absolutely convinced of this. They [the West] do not want to recognize one truth about the Russians: They will go further. Period. This one statement contains the answer to all questions, because if you know for sure that the Russians will go further ... Why not strengthen Ukraine as much as possible, increase production at home, for your armed forces?”

“I share with a lot of people a surprise at the European position. Europe, that claims to be a model of civilisation, ignored the most televised genocide of modern times. What I like about the idea about a Palestinian-European Network is the need to ask a question - how come Europe behaves in an abysmal [way] … [it has] reached such a level of inhumanity, of disregard, of indifference. I wasn't prepared for that. wWhy people fly Ukrainian flags in solidarity with the war-torn European nation across the Danish capital but there are no Palestine flags visible. Let's face it, there's no genocide of Ukrainians, but there is of Palestinians.”

“He [Zelenskyy] goes around Europe, just begging and blackmailing others, asking for money. It just has to stop. Russia has never deceived us, unlike Ukraine. I remember the situation in 2009 when I was in Ukraine and asked Ukrainian Prime Minister Tymoshenko to give us some gas from the reservoirs in the western part of Ukraine, and I was told to go to hell. These are typical Ukrainians.”

“The Russians are clearly in the game not just to pressure Ukraine, and Europe, and Moldova. But they've hung Transdniester out to dry, and this is really surprising everyone. What the Russians have done to their 30-year proxy on the left bank of the Dniester River, it's remarkable. People are going to remember this. It's freezing there.”

“Europe will support Syria in its transition but will not finance new Islamist structures. This is not only in our own security interests but also what I have heard time and again from very many Syrians in Germany... and here in the region. We know where the HTS comes from ideologically, what it has done in the past. But we also hear and see the desire for moderation and for understanding with other important actors.”

“Ukraine has cut off more than just Russian gas transit. We have cut off some of Putin's last remaining leverage over Europe and his use of energy as a weapon. Europe and the world will be safer without Russian gas, oil, and other dependencies, as well as without Russia itself.”

“More than 25 years ago, when Putin was given power in Russia, over 130 billion cubic metres of gas were pumped annually through Ukraine to Europe. Today, the transit of Russian gas is 0. This is one of Moscow's biggest defeats. Weaponising energy and resorting to cynical energy blackmail of partners have cost Russia its most attractive and geographically accessible market.”

“Europe's response to any cease-fire agreement will be critically important - both for Ukraine and for themselves. With many countries dealing with political turmoil at home (often stoked by Russia), they may be tempted to treat this as an end to the conflict and an opportunity to reset relations with Russia. That would be an enormous mistake. Russia will continue to pose the most serious and immediate conventional and non-conventional threat to European security.”

“I held a meeting of the Staff today, with a separate report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi regarding the front. The Donetsk areas are the most intense, as well as Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Kharkiv oblasts. [We discussed] details of Kursk Oblast's developments - the North Korean military is involved in the fighting. They have many losses. A great deal. And we can see that the Russian military and the North Korean enforcers have no interest in the survival of these Koreans at all. Everything is arranged in a way that makes it impossible for us to capture the Koreans as prisoners - their own people are executing them, there are such cases. And the Russians send them into assaults with minimal protection. Today we received reports on several soldiers from North Korea, our warriors managed to capture them. But they were seriously wounded and could not be resuscitated. This is one of the manifestations of the madness dictatorships are capable of. The Korean nation should not lose its people in the battles in Europe. And this can be influenced, particularly by Korea's neighbors, especially China. If China is sincere in its statements that the war should not escalate, it must exert appropriate pressure on Pyongyang.”

“And we will definitely continue to strike Russian military targets - with drones and missiles, increasingly with Ukrainian-made ones, specifically targeting military bases and Russian military infrastructure used in this terror against our people. Our defense is entirely just. I thank all those around the world who support Ukraine in this, particularly those advocating for increased defence spending in European countries, for the modernisation and technological advancement of arsenals in Europe. And I thank all those who ensure that the pressure on Russia for this war is increased.”

“It's important to ensure long-term aid to Ukraine - it must be clear that we are prepared to enable support as long as it is needed. Air defense, artillery and ammunition are high on the list. My impression from talking to the president-elect [Donald Trump] is that good cooperation between Europe and the U.S. is possible. The principle is always: no decisions over Ukrainians' heads, and that of course means over those of the European states.”

“Europe needs to find the leverage to act. If Europe cannot exert leverage on a country of 3.7 million, how can it expect to compete with the giants of the 21st century? Intimidation, the use of administrative resources, Russian-style propaganda...In addition, 'black money' was used in large quantities. There were no police during the elections. I personally witnessed violence in various districts and tried to contact the minister of internal affairs, but I could not get through.”

“Russia's use of the Oreshnik hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile on the territory of Ukraine has forced London to take a more cautious approach regarding strikes with long-range weapons deep inside Russia. Not that they [London's representatives] were scared, but overall they realized that a completely new factor had appeared on the scene - that's the first thing. The second is that we have retaliated for the use of Storm Shadow [long-range missiles] deep inside Russian territory. That's obvious as well. There is a sense that they are being a little more cautious, a little more balanced in their approach to this issue. And, in fact, they are now closely following what is happening. The UK's official reaction to the launch of the Oreshnik missile was rather vague. At the same time, in the expert community there was undoubtedly a serious study of the abilities, capabilities of the Oreshnik missile, its deployment on the territory of Belarus, from which, let's say, any point in Europe is reachable.”

“Who else in Europe has such experience? No one. Does Orbán have such an army? No. How would he put pressure on Putin? With a joke, a smile? He can keep it.
