  • Karine Jean-Pierre
Karine Jean-Pierre “Americans have the right to peacefully protest. Forcibly taking over a building is not peaceful.” 12 hours ago
  • Janet Yellen
Janet Yellen “Treasury has consistently warned that companies will face significant consequences for providing material support for Russia's war, and the U.S. is imposing them today on almost 300 targets.” 12 hours ago
  • Catherine Russell
Catherine Russell “Over 200 days of war have already killed or maimed tens of thousands of children in Gaza. For hundreds of thousands of children in the border city of Rafah, there is added fear of an escalated military operation that would bring catastrophe on top of catastrophe for children. Nearly all of the some 600,000 children now crammed into Rafah are either injured, sick, malnourished, traumatised or living with disabilities.” 12 hours ago
  • Eric Adams
Eric Adams “We cannot allow what should be a lawful protest to turn into a violent spectacle that saves and serves no purpose. There's no place for acts of hate in our city. I want to continue to commend the professionalism of the police department and to thank Columbia University. It was a tough decision, we understood that. But with the very clear evidence of their observation and the clear evidence from our intelligence division, that they understood it was time to move and the action had to end and we brought it to a peaceful conclusion.” 21 hours ago
  • Sergei Shoigu
Sergei Shoigu “To maintain the required pace of the offensive … it is necessary to increase the volume and quality of weapons and military equipment supplied to the troops, primarily weapons.” 21 hours ago

“Any person that can use its head understands perfectly well that NATO's expansion was effectively aimed at searching for an enemy. NATO realized that they can't exist without an enemy. By moving their borders to our borders, they were just looking for an enemy, saying that we need to defend against a big threat from the east, we need weapons there, we need to increase military budgets, this is the meaning and purpose of NATO. But at the same time, they created vulnerabilities for themselves. Each expansion of the alliance actually worsened its security. The West imagined itself the winner in the Cold War and decided that it alone could establish its own rules. A rule-based order is not really international law, of course. This is the order that is conceived in Brussels, Washington and other capitals.”
