Anitta Hipper “Let me recall the European Council's conclusion from 21 March, where the Council is also reiterating its unwavering support to Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. And the last point on these referendums, that were a total sham and [conducted] at gunpoint. When it comes to the discussion on peace talks, our position is very clear, and I would like to reiterate two main points. One, the EU's position for peace is that it is for Ukraine to decide the actual conditions, and the second point that nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.” 10 hours ago

“The enemy has recently increased the number of personnel involved in infantry assaults (in this direction). These are not only motorized rifle units, but also airborne regiments, and special forces battalions. Russian forces are employing a range of weapons to attack Ukrainian positions including aviation, artillery and fiber optic drones. Urban warfare of the type being waged in the destroyed streets of Chasiv Yar is the most difficult type of battle for infantry for both defenders and attackers. That is why quite often the enemy tries to bypass the city by the flanks, this in particular, applies to Chasiv Yar.”

We've seen [similar political transitions] in Africa and Latin America. What's important today is that the political process has started. We've transferred the power from military groups into a political process.”

“This presidency will be for the transitionary period, but we don't know how long that will last. This will also pave way for the international community to lift sanctions. In the last 48 hours, we've heard about an EU roadmap to lift sanctions completely. This will be crucial because it affects everyone in Syria, in all aspects of society and people. That will make or break how the economy functions and how Syria will move forward.”

“It is these fundamental principles that lead us to support Ukraine. It is these fundamental principles that lead us to condemn the violations of the border in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We must not stop defending these principles when the territorial integrity of a member state of the European Union is at stake. The territorial integrity of Denmark, the sovereignty of Denmark, the stability of its borders, as you can imagine, is obviously an essential issue for us.”
