Journalist Emre Orman, who is sought by police, is also a client of MLSA. MLSA will provide legal support to any journalists who do not have legal counsel.” 11 hours ago

Anitta Hipper “Let me recall the European Council's conclusion from 21 March, where the Council is also reiterating its unwavering support to Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. And the last point on these referendums, that were a total sham and [conducted] at gunpoint. When it comes to the discussion on peace talks, our position is very clear, and I would like to reiterate two main points. One, the EU's position for peace is that it is for Ukraine to decide the actual conditions, and the second point that nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.” 11 hours ago

“I would like Egypt to take people. You're talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing and say: 'You know, it's over'. I am looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now, and it's a mess. It's a real mess. It is literally a demolition site right now, almost everything is demolished and people are dying there. So, I would rather get involved with some of the Arab nations and build housing in a different location, where they can maybe live in peace for a change.”

“The ceasefire will continue. But Netanyahu, who is on trial for corruption, will seek to delay the implementation of each of the three stages in order to gain more time and stay on as the country's prime minister. Unfortunately, this criminal of war is running the whole Israeli state according to his political interests. I think his main political interest now is to survive till the summer vacation of the Knesset that starts on July 28 and ends after the end of all the Hebrew feasts at the end of October. And if Netanyahu is successful in prolonging the ceasefire talks till the end of July, it means he will continue being a prime minister, at least till the beginning of 2026. He has elections at the end of 2026, so I think in each period, in each part of the ceasefire talks, Netanyahu will try to win a few more days in order to get to this. But the whole issue here is that there's a dangerous prime minister, criminal of war, wanted by the ICC, running the whole state according to his own personal political interests.”

“Slovakia belongs to Europe, we want to belong to Europe in terms of values. We do not belong to Russia, we do not actually want to collaborate with Russia in any way, and this is our position, which we must express politely but responsibly.”

“We heard from the Israeli prime minister's office earlier that Israel believed Hamas had violated the terms of the ceasefire agreement that was put in place several weeks ago by not releasing an Israeli civilian by the name of Arbel Yehud. Israel says that this was a violation because it was supposed to be civilians who were released first before any military personnel. It says as a result, they will not allow any Palestinians to return to the north, and they are not going to be leaving the Netzarim Corridor. Israel says this is their condition until she is released; that's when Palestinians will be able to go home, even though, within the framework of the ceasefire deal outlined by mediators, it said that Palestinians, in the second week after the second exchange, could return to the north. The entire time these negotiations for the ceasefire deal had been going on for more than a year, there was so much back and forth between Israel and Hamas, each one pointing the finger at the other for why everything was collapsing. So it's not a surprise that each one now is accusing the other of these violations, but this is an incredibly fragile situation.”

“This refusal [to allow Palestinians to cross the Netzarim Corridor] goes back to Israel's original intention of this war. When the war kicked off, the idea of expelling the people of Gaza into Egypt and emptying the Strip was at the centre of Israel's strategy. They started this experiment in the north because it hosts one of the largest refugee camps- the Jabalia refugee camp - which been a symbol of resistance. As this plan collapsed because of Egypt's refusal to let Palestinians cross the border, Israel was stuck with cornering people in a small enclave in central Gaza. The main goal here is to get the land without the indigenous population. By shooting at the crowd gathered in the Netzarim Corridor waiting for permission to cross into northern Gaza, Israel has once again showed who's in charge.”

“After they [immigrants] came in doing everything the government told them to do, they are in the same boat as someone who came here unlawfully. Right now, even though you are holding valid documents that allow you to work and be in the U.S., this guidance makes you vulnerable to being picked up by immigration agents and arrested at any time.”
