Emmanuel Macron “If the Russians were to break through the front lines, if there were a Ukrainian request [of sending ground troops to Ukraine], which is not the case today, we would legitimately have to ask ourselves this question.” 22 hours ago
  • David Cameron
David Cameron “We will give three billion pounds every year for as long as is necessary. We've just really emptied all we can in terms of giving equipment. The aid package was the largest from the UK so far. Some of that (equipment) is actually arriving in Ukraine today, while I'm here. Ukraine has a right to use the weapons provided by London to strike targets inside Russia, and that it was up to Kyiv whether to do so. Ukraine has that right. Just as Russia is striking inside Ukraine, you can quite understand why Ukraine feels the need to make sure it's defending itself.” 22 hours ago

“The government has deliberately made this situation where housing prices soared. They said they changed real estate policies 28 times, but it is a public deception which they did on purpose. Their belief was that when the people own homes, they tend to be conservative and will not vote for the liberal bloc.”

“Most of those in the top real estate bracket are highly educated people. They are increasing their real estate holdings faster than others, and they are investing more in the education of their children. In other words, both real estate and education are inherited. This situation is especially true among those in their 40s or 50s. There used to be a belief among Koreans that everyone can earn income and buy a home under the same conditions. The possibility of moving up the socioeconomic ladder through savings and purchasing a home used to be a source of strong motivation for individuals, and it became a driving force of economic development as a result. Being able to purchase real estate, which was once a means to climb up the socioeconomic ladder, is now only widening the gap between classes and making that gap permanent.”

“The gap between those who have assets and those who don't has expanded dramatically. The gap has also widened among those who do have assets, depending on where they own property. In the past, one could accumulate assets by saving their income, but now it has become almost impossible to make up for that gap through earned income or savings.”

“I am part of the Moon [Moon Jae-in] administration and the DPK [Democratic Party of Korea], so I am not in a position to appraise the policies. However, like most Koreans, real estate prices soared too much under this administration and we can raise doubts about whether this government did its best to stabilize the real estate market or not.”
