  • Itamar Yaar
Itamar Yaar “The American move to pause big bomb transfers is largely symbolic. But it's a sign of trouble and could become more of a problem if it is sustained. It's not some kind of American embargo on American munitions support, but I think it's some kind of diplomatic message to Mr Netanyahu that he needs to take into consideration American interests more than he has over the last few months. It's kind of a signal, a 'be careful'.” 11 hours ago
  • Vitalii Barabash
Vitalii Barabash “Around 700 people stayed in Avdiivka. The situation is not easy; regular checks are ongoing. The excitement of the majority of those who remained and waited for the Russians has long faded. Even those who didn't care admit now that it was far better under Ukraine's control. Because there is no evidence of democracy or that it was 'liberators' that came to them.” 13 hours ago
  • Alan Boswell
Alan Boswell “The Sudanese have basically been forgotten, obviously there's the war in Gaza which has taken a lot of attention. Frankly it would take very high-level political focus on trying to pressure those who are arming the various sides and have the actual belligerence themselves to stop this. Obviously, the United Nations tools are not very functional.” 15 hours ago
  • Benjamin Netanyahu
Benjamin Netanyahu “No amount of pressure … will stop Israel from defending itself and achieving its war objectives. Eighty years ago in the Holocaust, the Jewish people were totally defenceless against those who sought our destruction. No nation came to our aid. I pledge here today from Jerusalem on this Holocaust Remembrance Day: If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone. But we know we are not alone because countless decent people around the world support our just cause.” 18 hours ago
  • Vladimir Putin
Vladimir Putin “We know what the exorbitance of such ambitions leads to. Russia will do everything to prevent a global clash. But at the same time, we will not allow anyone to threaten us. Our strategic forces are always in a state of combat readiness.” 18 hours ago

“When there is talk about the so-called memory politics of a nation's past, then in order to make decisions about this memory politics, which usually results in what is written on the monuments, and how public opinion perceives this past, seeing things through the eyes of politics, then a lot of discussions, talks, consensus in public opinion is needed to make a decision on how to present a certain event or person from the past. I do not see this statement by our Prime Minister [Zoran Zaev] as a statement that will be implemented immediately and on the basis of which the deletion of some offensive designations from those that have been established so far will begin in the field tomorrow. I see this statement more as an attempt, a signal to the other side that as far as the historical reconciliation between the Macedonian (sic) and Bulgarian people is concerned, there should be a dialogue, all the painful issues between us should be discussed and that this is the solution to achieve reconciliation.”

“The Social Democrats' position on the Macedonian language and identity are crystal clear. The identity red lines are clear to our people and to the entire international public. If VMRO DPMNE is not sure on these lines, we as a constructive parliamentary majority can make that step without any problem and accept the resolution as is. Support for the document should dispel all the lies that we are committing national treason” that the opposition has been spreading.”
