“These devices that were targeted, Israeli authorities would not have known where all of these devices were at the time that they were detonated, and so that really would… breach those very principles of international humanitarian law and constitute a war crime. Hezbollah firing missiles into civilian areas in Israel over the past few months itself also constitutes a war crime, but Israel's response is entirely disproportionate. Just imagine for a moment that one of these individuals carrying one of these devices, had boarded a commercial jet that would have resulted in the death of several hundred innocent people. We're looking at the areas in which these individuals were targeted, and whilst they may be themselves legitimate military targets, the manner in which that's been done has put civilians at risk. So it's just this reckless, reckless behaviour by Israel once again.”
