“It's a humanitarian crisis in Gaza. I am working on a deal to end the fighting and build a lasting and durable peace. Leadership is about fighting through the most intractable problem. It's about channeling anger, frustration and heartbreak to find a solution. It's about doing what you believe is right, even when it's hard and lonely.”

“An attempted coup d'etat has been put down by the defence and security forces. The attempt involved foreigners and Congolese. These foreigners and Congolese have been put out of action, including their leader.”

“When very, very experienced humanitarian aid workers, who have been in all kinds of places around the world for decades, when they go to Gaza - to help, to serve, to work - it is traumatising for them. So, God help what it must be for the people of Gaza. It is really difficult and it's getting worse daily. We meet with Israelis daily through COGAT, the committee set up for this purpose. We have many detailed discussions with them about security, about the movement of our trucks and convoys, about the priorities for fuel, but the fact of the matter is, we are not in a position to provide proper aid to the people of Gaza. Right now, it's not ever been quite as difficult as it is today. Much more can be done and ideally, obviously and hopefully this [Israeli military] operation needs to stop.”

“All of a sudden South Korea's rhetoric became even more hostile towards Pyongyang. In Japan as well, we hear aggressive rhetoric and it is seriously talking about setting up NATO infrastructure with U.S. assistance. They're preparing for war with the DPRK.”
“They say that [fighting] should be stopped immediately, that Israel should destroy the terrorists. But this was done before … and never after the situation calmed down did they come to the fact that the main reason [for the conflict] needs to be eliminated. The Palestinian problem should not be delayed further.”
“It's not all about Ukraine. It's about how international relations will continue to be shaped through the establishment of a sound consensus on the basis of balance of interests or through aggressive and volatile advancement of Washington's hegemony.”
“Just as Hitler wanted a 'final solution' to the Jewish question, now, if you read Western politicians … they clearly say Russia must suffer a strategic defeat.”
“Our proposals for the demilitarisation and denazification of the territories controlled by the regime, the elimination of threats to Russia's security emanating from there, including our new lands, are well known to the enemy. The point is simple: Fulfil them for your own good. Otherwise, the issue will be decided by the Russian army.”
“I hope that in today's situation, President Joe Biden will have more opportunities to understand who gives orders and how. This situation is very disturbing. The difference is that in the distant 1962, Khrushchev and Kennedy found the strength to show responsibility and wisdom, and now we do not see such readiness on the part of Washington and its satellites. The readiness of Russia, including its president, to negotiate [on Ukraine], it remains unchanged. We will always be ready to listen to what proposals our Western partners have to de-escalate tensions.”
“It seems to me that the Americans have been participating de facto in this war for a long time. This war is being controlled by the Anglo-Saxons. Officials including White House national security spokesman John Kirby had said the United States was open to talks but that Russia had refused. This is a lie. We have not received any serious offers to make contact.”
“Following those referendums, Russia of course will respect the expression of the will of those people who for many long years have been suffering from the abuses of the neo-Nazi regime.”
“From the very start of the operation … we said that the peoples of the respective territories should decide their fate, and the whole current situation confirms that they want to be masters of their fate.”
“When World War II was about to begin, Hitler gathered a significant part, if not most of the European nations, for a war against the USSR. These days, the European Union together with NATO are gathering a modern-day coalition to wage a war on the Russian Federation.”
“Finland and Sweden, as well as other neutral countries, have been participating in NATO military exercises for many years. NATO takes their territory into account when planning military advances to the East. So in this sense there is probably not much difference. Let's see how their territory is used in practice in the North Atlantic alliance.”
“The collective West has declared total hybrid war on us and it is hard to predict how long all this will last but it is clear the consequences will be felt by everyone, without exception. We did everything to avoid a direct clash - but now that the challenge has been thrown down, we of course accept it. We are no strangers to sanctions: they were almost always there in one form or another.”
“If you are worried about the prospect of war in Europe - we do not want that at all. But I draw your attention to the fact that it is the West that is constantly and persistently saying that in this situation, it is necessary to defeat Russia. Draw your own conclusions.”
“When they say 'What sort of nazification is this if we are Jews', well I think that Hitler also had Jewish origins, so it means nothing. For a long time now we've been hearing the wise Jewish people say that the biggest anti-Semites are the Jews themselves.”
“If the US and NATO are really interested in resolving the Ukraine crisis, then first of all, they should wake up and stop supplying the Kyiv regime with arms and ammunition.”
“The danger is serious, real. And we must not underestimate it. NATO, in essence, is engaged in a war with Russia through a proxy and is arming that proxy. War means war.”
“It is absolutely clear that more and more transactions would be done through this system using national currencies, bypassing dollar, euro and other currencies. We will be ready to supply any goods which India wants to buy. I have no doubt that a way would be (found) to bypass the artificial impediments which illegal unilateral sanctions by the West create. This relates also to the area of military-technical cooperation.”
