“If Trump loses, there is no ready heir to his MAGA crown. Vance, Trump's vice-presidential nominee, would be saddled with at least partial responsibility for Trump's loss, and the American people already view him unfavorably.”

“I believe that now is the time to discuss how to arrive at peace from this state of war, indeed at a faster pace.”

“On the sidelines of the [Ambrosetti] Forum in Italy, I met with a delegation of the US Congress. We talked, in particular, about the victory plan for Ukraine - about some of its details, and we will present all the steps to US President Biden and both presidential candidates, Trump and Harris, in full. Our main focus now, at the beginning of the fall, is to strengthen the positions of Ukraine and Ukrainians as much as possible, protect our cities and villages from Russian terror, and, of course, provide more capabilities for our warriors on the frontlines.”

“There were groups of protesters calling for a ceasefire as early as November and December [last year], and I think that number has been growing in a pretty steady way. The number of protesters had grown pretty dramatically in the past week, with an increasing number of Israelis protesting now understanding that a ceasefire is actually the only way that the captives will return to Israel. I think that's now a pretty common understanding among protesters. You do see a rising number of Israelis wanting this to end whether they are in the streets or not.”

“China's commitment to the goal of stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-US relations hasn't changed. We hope that the US will work with China to meet each other halfway.”
“China will, as always, firmly support Venezuela's efforts to safeguard national sovereignty, national dignity and social stability, and firmly support Venezuela's just cause of opposing external interference.”
“Only when all major powers project positive energy rather than negative energy can a ceasefire occur. It is in the interests of all parties to seek a political solution through an early ceasefire.”
“China will continue to unswervingly promote friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation with Tajikistan...firmly support Tajikistan's efforts to safeguard national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.”
“We should join hands to resist external interference, firmly support each other, take care of each other's concerns … and firmly control of the future and destiny of our countries and regional peace and development in our own hands. It is of vital importance to the world that the SCO be on the right side of history and on the side of fairness and justice.”
“I proposed mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation to be the three overarching principles. They are both lessons learned from the past and a guide for the future.”
“First, we should prioritize the upholding of peace and stability and refrain from seeking selfish gains. Second, we should cool down the situation and not add fuel to the fire. Third, we need to create conditions for the restoration of peace and refrain from further exacerbating tensions. Fourth, we should reduce the negative impact on the world economy and refrain from undermining the stability of global industrial and supply chains.”
“President Putin and I have agreed to continue to maintain close exchanges to ensure the smooth and steady development of China-Russia relations. The two sides should take the opportunity of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and the China-Russia Years of Culture to fully implement the important consensus reached by President Putin and me. China supports the Russian people in following a development path that suits their national conditions, and supports Russia in combating terrorism and maintaining social security and stability. China always attaches great importance to the development of China-Russia relations, and stands ready to strengthen bilateral communication with Russia and enhance multilateral strategic coordination in BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The two countries will show more responsibility, unite countries in the Global South in the spirit of equality, openness, transparency and inclusiveness, promote the reform of the global governance system, and vigorously lead the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.”
“China is building a first-class business environment that is market oriented. In traditional areas like trade and new ones such as climate change and artificial intelligence, China and the United States should become boosters for each other's development, not obstructions on each other.”
“The reunification of the motherland is a historical inevitability. Compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should be bound by a common sense of purpose and share in the glory of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.”
“China regards Europe as a comprehensive strategic partner and an important pole in a multipolar world. It is hoped that Germany will push the EU to uphold the principles of marketisation and fairness, and work with China to safeguard fair market competition and free trade.”
“In the face of an unstable and uncertain international environment, China is willing to continue to work with Syria in the interests of friendly cooperation and safeguarding international fairness and justice. China supports Syria's opposition to foreign interference, unilateral bullying … and will support Syria's reconstruction. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Syria through the Belt and Road Initiative … to make positive contributions to regional and world peace and development.”
“There is no universal model of government and there is no world order where the decisive word belongs to a single country. Global solidarity and peace without splits and upheavals is in the common interests of all mankind.”
“The Chinese side has noted that the Russian side has said it has never refused to resolve the conflict through diplomatic negotiations, and expressed its appreciation for this.”
“Everything we discussed has been leaked to the paper; that's not appropriate. If there is sincerity, we can communicate well with mutual respect, otherwise the outcome will not be easy to tell.”
“The world today is neither peaceful nor tranquil. As major powers, strengthening communication and cooperation between China and the US will help to increase global stability and certainty, and promote world peace and development. China is willing to work with the US to give mutual respect, coexist peacefully… (and) find ways to get along in the new era. Doing so will not only be good for both countries, but also benefit the world.”
“China had always respected, cared for and benefited Taiwanese, and was committed to promoting economic and cultural exchanges across the Taiwan Strait. We insist on striving for the prospect of peaceful reunification with the greatest sincerity and best efforts, but we will never promise to give up the use of force and reserve the option to take all necessary measures. The historical wheels of national reunification and national rejuvenation are rolling forward, and the complete reunification of the motherland must be achieved.”
“No matter how the international conjecture changes, we will decisively support Kazakhstan in the defence of its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and … will categorically stand against the interference of any powers in your country's domestic affairs.”
“China is willing to work with Russia to play a leading role in demonstrating the responsibility of major powers, and to instil stability and positive energy into a world in turmoil.”
“Countries do not need patronising lecturers; still less should human rights issues be politicised and used as a tool to apply double standards, or as a pretext to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.”
